TEEN ART LESSONS: 12-18 YEARS OLD

Observe, Compose, Sketch!  Art Classes for Teens 4 ART LESSONS each month.

Every Tuesday at 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.  

Ages: 12 to 18 yrs old. Students who are 11 are welcome to join if they have advanced art skills. Contact studio for more information!

This 90 mins class enables students to express their inner creativity while learning new skills, refining techniques, and exploring a variety of concepts. 

Challenge to Create program for children 12+ years of age is designed to develop a broader understanding of the artistic process while covering complex topics such as portrait, landscape, figure drawing, still life, free hand and more. 

Students explore the fundamental principles of art and design including secrets of perspective, form, composition, shading, light and shadow through creating projects like collage, canvas painting, mixed media, sculpture, and sketches.

We have structured this foundation drawing & painting class so that many different skill levels (including beginners) can participate. During the course we will focus on Sketching, Composition & Perspective, Observational Drawing, Art History, Painting, Color Theory, Still Life, Human Figure, and Sculpture.

Registration Fee: $35 per child or $50 per family, is due once a year. This is an annual enrollment fee and does not cover cost of the program.
