ABOUT THE STUDIO

Vibrant Kids Studio is a home based studio, located minutes from downtown Marysville.

Weekly classes and workshops are offered for ages 4-18. Over the summer, look for camps and special events.

All classes are taught by artist Laura Rekow.

ABOUT THE OWNER

Always an artist, Laura grew up taking classes like the ones she teaches, out of an artist's home studio! She went on to study art in college.

Besides spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors, teaching art brings her great joy! Sometimes the right job just finds you, and you know it's what you were meant to do. That's how she feels about teaching art!

Hi, my name is Laura – I' am a mom, artist, and the founder of Vibrant Kids Studio! Creating and sharing art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, working with different art mediums was magical all while enjoying the process of creating new things.

I studied art and photography in college earning my associate’s in arts & science.  One of my favorite classes to teach is AP Art History. I also have worked as a professional cosmetic tattoo artist for client's who have recovered from their cancer diagnosis and other health related concerns that limit women or completely change their natural features. As unique as a professional cosmetic artist sounds, it has been one of the most rewarding jobs by helping women feel like themselves again through art. Art has always been a part of my life and my new found calling has been to teach and instruct young students the joys and magic of art.

I look forward to teaching your young artist and helping your student gain new skills and confidence all with a smile on their face as they enjoy the process of art.
